DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2016

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 7, 2016) - The East Coast Conference awarded its postseason men's soccer honors Monday, and LIU Post sophomore midfielder Charlie Ledula (London, England) and junior back David Gutierrez Arvidsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) were named the league's offensive and defensive player of the year, respectively. Gutierrez Arvidsson has led a defensive unit that has limited opponents to a stingy 0.60 goals-against average. That mark ranks sixth-lowest amongst the nation's leaders.
